Chatime is the largest bubble tea brand in Canada, with 60 stores in Ontario and British Columbia. The bubble tea franchise serves an exciting variety of smoothies, slushies and milk & bubble teas that are made fresh to order.
Allison Calixte-Hawthorne and her husband, Dovelin Hawthorne are delighted and proud to be the first black owners of the Chatime Bubble Tea Franchise.
Allison was raised with her parents Felicita Calixte and Francis Leon, in Zenon, Soufriere. She migrated to Canada to further her education, almost three (3) decades ago, pursuing studies at Emery Collegiate, where she met her husband, Dovelin Hawthorne, a Jamaican national and York Regional Police Detective.
The Hawthorne’s hosted the grand opening of their Bolton store, on Wednesday, August 25th, 2021. The event was attended by Tony Rosa – Ward 5 – Bolton Area Councillor, Consul General Cheryl Francis and staff and other supporters, well-wishers and soon to be loyal customers.
The Consulate General of Saint Lucia in Toronto congratulates Allison and Dovelin and we wish them continued success with their new venture.
If you’re ever in the Bolton area, feel free to drop in and support!
