WORLD SUICIDE PREVENTION DAY 2021: The day aims to promote the global commitment to suicide prevention.

September 10th, 2021 is World Suicide Prevention Day. The international theme this year is set around ‘Creating HOPE Through ACTION’.

The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that “more than 700,000 people die by suicide, each year.”

If you or someone you know is thinking about suicide, please know that you are not alone, and help is available; please reach out to someone you trust or seek professional help.

If you recognise someone’s struggles, reach out – make the time and space to listen; show them that you care.

Be aware that the warning signs and risk factors that can lead to suicide may not always be explicit or visible, so be nice to everyone!
