Saint Lucia Tourism Authority Celebrates Top Honors at the 2024 World Travel Awards

The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) is delighted to announce that Saint Lucia has been recognized as the Caribbean’s Leading Honeymoon Destination and the Caribbean’s Leading Adventure Tourism Destination at the 2024 World Travel Awards. This prestigious recognition marks the 15th time Saint Lucia has won the Honeymoon Destination award and the 3rd time it has been honored as the Adventure Tourism Destination.

“We are immensely proud to receive these awards, which affirm Saint Lucia’s position as a premier destination for both romance and adventure,” said Hon. Dr. Ernest Hilaire, Minister of Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information. “These accolades are a testament to the island’s diverse offerings, from its stunning landscapes and luxurious accommodations to its thrilling outdoor activities and rich cultural experiences. Our commitment to providing unforgettable experiences for our visitors remains unwavering.”

Saint Lucia’s enchanting scenery, pristine beaches, and world-class accommodation options make it a dream destination for honeymooners seeking romance and relaxation. Couples can indulge in intimate beachfront dinners, sunset cruises, and private tours of the island’s natural wonders.

For adventure seekers, Saint Lucia Adventure Week from November 9-16 offers a plethora of activities. Participants can hike the iconic Pitons and Mount Gimie, join a half marathon or fun walk, zip-line through lush rainforests, dive into vibrant coral reefs, and explore the island’s unique volcanic features. These experiences highlight why Saint Lucia is a haven for thrill-seekers and nature enthusiasts alike.

The World Travel Awards, often referred to as the “Oscars of the travel industry,” are recognized globally as the ultimate hallmark of quality. Winning these awards reinforces Saint Lucia’s dedication to excellence in tourism and its continuous efforts to enhance and diversify its offerings.

The SLTA extends heartfelt gratitude to all partners, stakeholders, and visitors who contribute to the island’s success. As we celebrate these achievements, we look forward to welcoming more travelers to experience the magic of Saint Lucia, whether they seek romance, adventure, or both.
