Observance of Sixteen (16) Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence – November 25th to December 10th, 2021

Every year, worldwide, November 25th is observed as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (VAW), and December 10th, is recognized as Human Rights Day.

“Sixteen (16) Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence” is observed during the period: November 25th to December 10th, 2021.

 The observance seeks to draw attention to gender-based violence (GBV), as a human rights violation, calling for commitment and action, from state actors, civil society organizations, the media and the general public, to end GBV.

This year’s observance is held under the theme: “Orange the World; END VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN NOW”

NEW YEAR’S  DAY & NEW YEAR’S HOLIDAY

Please be advised that the Consulate General of Saint Lucia in Toronto will be closed on the following dates:

  • Thursday, 01st January 2026, in observance of New Year’s Day, and
  • Friday, 02nd January 2026, in observance of New Year’s Holiday

We will resume normal operations on Monday, 05th January 2026.
