The Saint Lucia-Toronto Association hosted its Annual Saint Lucian Family Day Picnic on Sunday, August 18th, 2019 at the Boyd Conservation Area in Vaughan, Ontario. The highly anticipated event did not disappoint!
The meaty aromas curling up from the various grills permeated the area. The picnic haven was filled with laughter and excitement and the sweet sounds of Caribbean music and chatter could be heard in the background.
There was something for everyone. The kids had a designated fun station and enjoyed activities such as face painting, kite flying and sack races, to name a few. People boogied to back-in-time and soca tunes and a few brave souls took on the karaoke challenge and entertained the crowed with their vocal prowess.
The President of the Saint Lucia-Toronto Association, Ms. Uhanna Obaizamomwan indicated that the event, which was a resounding success, will only keep getting better.
