The Saint Lucia Toronto Aid Action Group (STAAG) Makes a Donation to the Marian and St. Lucy’s Homes in Saint Lucia

The Saint Lucia Toronto Aid Action Group (STAAG) made a sizeable donation of goods to the Marian Home for the Elderly and the St. Lucy’s Home, in Saint Lucia.

The presentation of the donated items to the two homes, was made by the former Governor General of Saint Lucia, Her Excellency Dame Pearlette Louisy, who is not only the Patron of STAAG but is also the Patron of the major fundraising activities of both the Marian and St. Lucy’s Homes.

Sr. Annie Renneau O. Carm, Administrator of the Marian Home for the Elderly and Mr. Sylvestre Phillip, Administrator of the St Lucy’s Home, both thanked Her Excellency Dame Pearlette Louisy, Jeannie Beausoleil and the STAAG team, for making such a generous donation, in the midst of this global pandemic.

Her Excellency Dame Pearlette Louisy in her address, expressed her gratitude to the persons in the Diaspora who responded to her call for assistance and contributed toward the relief efforts, in one way or another. She also thanked STAAG and Mr. Ken Chitolie of KLC Shipping in Toronto, for their overwhelming assistance, in making this donation drive a resounding success.

The Consulate General of Saint Lucia in Toronto applauds Jeannie Beausoleil, the STAAG team and everyone who assisted or contributed toward this relief effort.

It is always heartwarming to see persons opening up their hearts and wallets and giving their time to the less fortunate and needy, especially in economically trying times.
