Saint Lucia’s 43rd Anniversary of Independence Thanksgiving Church Service

The Government and people of Saint Lucia will proudly commemorate the 43rd year of our island’s independence, on Tuesday 22nd February 2022, under the theme “Douvan Ansanm: Celebrating our People”.

We invite you to share in our celebration, and join us, at our 43rd Anniversary of Independence Thanksgiving Church Service, which will be held on Saturday 19th February 2022, at 3:00 p.m. EST, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Caribbean-Canadian Catholic Church, located at 867 College Street, Toronto, ON M6H 1A1. 

The thanksgiving service will also be livestreamed, via the Consulate’s official Facebook page and YouTube channel:

In-person attendance: Capacity limits will be maintained, in accordance with provincial regulations. Please call the Consulate, at Tel: (416) 203-8400, to confirm your attendance, by 12:00 noon, on Friday 18th February 2022.

COVID-19 protocols will be in full effect.

Please be advised that the Consulate General of Saint Lucia in Toronto will be closed on the following dates:

  • Thursday, 01st January 2026, in observance of New Year’s Day, and
  • Friday, 02nd January 2026, in observance of New Year’s Holiday

We will resume normal operations on Monday, 05th January 2026.
