Saint Lucia’s Emancipation Day Celebrations will be held during the period July 18th, 2024, to August 31st, 2024.
Emancipation Day holds profound significance for communities around the world, marking a pivotal moment in history when the formally enslaved were freed and began their journey toward liberty and equality.
The emancipation celebration is not just a symbol of slavery but triumph and victory over an oppressive system.
This is the third year of our emancipation initiative “Enkindling our Consciousness“, and our hope is that as a nation, we continue to learn to embrace our heritage, for future generations
