Saint Lucian National Canisia Lubrin Joins the University of Guelph!

Fellow Saint Lucians and Friends of Saint Lucia please join us in congratulating Ms. Canisia Lubrin, on her latest accomplishment; she will be joining the University of Guelph – The School of English & Theatre Studies & Creative Writing Program.

Ms. Lubrin, who hails from the community of Jacmel in Saint Lucia, studied in Canada, completing a BA at York University and an MFA at the University of Guelph. She is a professor, editor, critic, and an award-winning writer and poet.

Canisia is the author of two critically acclaimed, awards-nominated collections of poetry: Voodoo Hypothesis (2017) and The Dyzgraphxst (2020)

The Consulate General of Saint Lucia, in Toronto would like to officially congratulate Ms. Lubrin on all her outstanding accomplishments and we wish her continued success, in her new role and in all her future endeavors.
