Saint Lucian national Caleb Georges, of the Dior Quartet, has been invited to compete in the prestigious Banff International String Quartet Competition (BISQC), organized by Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, in Banff, Alberta, Canada.

The 14th Banff International String Quartet Competition (BISQC) will have 10 of the world’s best emerging string quartets compete. The quartets will perform 4 programs over 12 concerts, for a distinguished jury, an eager audience, and for each other, as they vie for the over $500,000 in cash, prizes and opportunities offered.

The successful quartet will be awarded one of the largest prizes for chamber music in the world, including recording, residency, and tour opportunities, in Europe and North America!

Former winners of the competition are among the “who’s who” of the world’s most outstanding string quartets.

This triennial event runs August 29th – September 04th, 2022, and will be live streamed around the world, through the BISQC media partner ‘The Violin Channel’: https://www.theviolinchannel.com/.
