The Consulate General of Saint Lucia in Toronto is proud to share in the celebration of two exemplary Saint Lucians – our Nobel Laureates – Sir William Arthur Lewis and Sir Derek Walcott, who have etched a legacy of excellence, for generations to come.
Today, we remember our two Nobel Laureates, who coincidentally share the same birthday:
- Sir William Arthur Lewis (23rd January 1915 – 15th June 1991)
- Sir Derek Alton Walcott (23rd January 1930 – 17th March 2017)
