NGU Clothing to Give One Young Saint Lucian Entrepreneur a Head Start in Business

Never Give Up (NGU) Clothing, a Canadian-based international clothing brand is committed to supporting the youth economy in St. Lucia by providing one child who has an innovative business idea with the resources needed to kickstart their business.

The brand, which is owned by St. Lucian-born Marshall Celestin, will provide the child with $1000 in start-up financing, business registration, and business plan assistance in order to get their viable business concept up and running.

Marshall believes that instilling entrepreneurship in children at a young age allows them to be more innovative and financially independent.

“I think it is a great incentive to get kids to share their innovative ideas and do something that they have an interest in that will help them become financially independent, because as a kid I wanted a lot of stuff but financially I could not afford them. So, it is important that kids are being empowered to start their own businesses.”

“I believe that if I give a child a chance to have their idea come to reality, I have done my job in terms of contributing to the growth and most importantly to give them a start to make their dream a reality because in these times it is very tough getting finances or getting somebody to believe in you to start your own business. I want to mentor them not only for the start-up but through the entire process as their business progresses.”

Children between the ages of 10-16 years who reside in St. Lucia are eligible to participate in the initiative and are required to submit the outline of their business ideas to nguclothing@gmail.com, by January 9, 2023.

The recipient of the business assistance will be presented with the funds in January and will be personally coached and mentored by Marshall Celestin.
