Consul General Henry Mangal was awarded an esteemed UBUNTU award, at the 3rd edition of the UBUNTU Awards Gala, which was hosted by CHFESD, Lox Media, & Coalition Creole, on Saturday, 19th October 2024.
The UBUNTU Awards Gala brought together well-wishers from various backgrounds, including distinguished members of the French-Creole and Caribbean communities in Toronto – to celebrate Creole leaders, whose work strengthens cultural connections and community resilience across the Diaspora.
Mr. Mangal’s award reaffirms his commitment to the ‘Ubuntu’ philosophy – a recognition that our common humanity is enriched, when we uplift each other, and cultivate a thriving, inclusive community. It also shines a light on the power of shared cultural pride, offering leaders a platform to celebrate achievements, foster connections, and inspire collective growth, within the Creole community.
Congratulations to Consul General Mangal, and all the other awardees and nominees – who exemplify the spirit of ‘UBUNTU’ – for their significant contributions, to our shared mission of cultural enrichment!
