The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority Embarks on a Quest to Rekindle Saint Lucia Jazz Events in May

On Thursday, May 5ᵗʰ, a press conference was held at the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, to announce the organization’s commitment to supporting private promoters in their quest to rekindle Saint Lucia Jazz events, in the month of May.

The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority pledged its support to two jazz events, Jazz N The City scheduled to take place on May 14ᵗʰ in Constitution Park, and The Saint Lucia Jazz Sampler slated for May 27ᵗʰ and 28ᵗʰ at Sandals Grande St. Lucian. The authority is the Title Sponsor for the Saint Lucia Jazz Sampler, which celebrating its 8ᵗʰ season.

The announcement of these events after more than a two-year hiatus is great news for Saint Lucia and will set the stage for the resurgence of the Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival on May 5ᵗʰ – 14ᵗʰ 2023.

In attendance were, Mrs. Cheryl Pitcairn and Mrs. Lydia Theobalds of Sisterhood, Mr. Thaddeus M. Antoine Chairman of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, Mrs. Lorine St Jules CEO of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, Mrs. Lorraine Sidonie CEO of Events Saint Lucia, Staff of SLTA and Staff of ECSL. Also present were the local media, as well as the regional and international media, via a virtual conferencing platform.

The opportunity to collaborate with The Saint Lucia Jazz Sampler, Jazz N The City, and the creative sector, is helping to place more spotlight on our local talents, as the lineup for both events is predominantly St. Lucian artists.
