The Consulate General of Saint Lucia in Toronto is proud to share in the celebration of two exemplary Saint Lucians – our Nobel Laureates – Sir William Arthur Lewis and Sir Derek Walcott, who have etched a legacy of excellence, for generations to come.

Today, we remember our two Nobel Laureates, who coincidentally share the same birthday:

Sir William Arthur Lewis (23^rd January, 1915 – 15^th /June, 1991)

Sir Derek Alton Walcott (23^rd January, 1930 – 17^th March, 2017)
