Consul General Henry Mangal Meets with Saint Lucian Leaders and Luminaries in the Diaspora

Since arriving in Toronto, in late June 2022, Consul General (CG) Henry Mangal has hit the ground running, holding meetings with the leaders of Saint Lucian organisations, and other prominent Saint Lucians. In keeping with the expressed intentions in CG Mangal’s Introductory and Independence messages, he immediately got to work inviting Saint Lucian leaders and luminaries to personally update him on their work programmes, achievements, and challenges. He also invited them to frankly express their feelings about relations with the Consulate and assured them that the Consulate was established to serve and represent Saint Lucians.

At all the engagements, CG Mangal thanked and congratulated the leaders and luminaries for their voluntary efforts, in promoting Saint Lucia, and encouraged them to maintain high standards and greater collaboration, in serving the Saint Lucian Diaspora, in Canada.

Consul General Mangal also pledged the support of the Consulate and that of the Ambassador for Diaspora Affairs, in helping the leaders and organisations to become more effective and productive.

While pledging to improve the level of service and security provided by the Consulate, to Saint Lucians in Canada, CG Mangal called upon leaders and organisations to continue:

  • Promoting Saint Lucian Culture and Heritage
  • Demonstrating the Spirit of Independence
  • Pursuing Personal Growth and Development
  • Being Proud Ambassadors of Saint Lucia
