Visiting Saint Lucia on a Yacht

Ministry of Tourism, Heritage and Creative Industries announces the new policy to re-introduce Immigration cards for yachts persons”

Saint Lucia is fast becoming the yachting destination of choice for many. The added value which the yachting sector brings to the island’s tourism industry is evidenced by the range of employment opportunities available, economic benefits and linkages formed with other sectors. In this vein, it is imperative that there is the continued thrust towards effective monitoring of the sector.

The Government of Saint Lucia, therefore, wishes to advise that effective September 1, 2014, yachts persons will be required to complete an Immigration card upon entry into Saint Lucia. This strategic move serves to position the Tourism Industry and Immigration Department to accurately account for yachting and stay-over arrivals and better serve the needs of our valued tourists.

The new card must be completed by each individual on board a vessel, disembarking at the IGY and Margot Bay Marinas, as well as the Vieux Fort, Soufriere and Ganter’s Bays.
